Safari Extension: Rapportive for Safari Really Does Make Email a Better Place (GMail Anyway)

Rapportive replaces the ads on the right side of GMail with a dossier on the contact who sent you the email which you are viewing. See their contact info, whereabouts, latest tweets, etc.

Here's my own rapportive profile. It has a little extra admin stuff in there because it is mine. You should at least take a look at your own.

It is a great alternative to viewing ads in GMail.
