  • Description: (From author) Ookong is a Safari extension to help you get best deals at Amazon.com. It is one of the six recommended shopping extensions on the official Safari extension gallery (http://extensions.apple.com/#shopping) You can check price history for millions of products, track their price changes (follow them) and get a notification when the price drops. The goal is to buy at the right time and never miss a deal.

Accessible via a toolbar button, Ookong (pronounced u-kun) will provide you with a price history for any item on Amazon. One can only assume that they can't possible have a full history on all products, but here's what I get for the Snuggie.

The button appears in the toolbar as a line-chart image.

And when you click it and see the Ookong information, it changes to a magnifying glass, becoming confusingly similar to some other buttons.

Anyway, here you can see that the Snuggie has dropped from almost $14 to $9 and some change.

I think I'll take my chances and ride it out a while longer.

I don't see any disclosure on the website, but keep in mind that items purchased through the Ookong site will result in them getting a portion of the sale on a performance basis. Not that that's a bad thing.
