Requires: Safari 5.0+ with Extensions enabled Description: This has got to be my favorite extension so far. Chrome browser introduced the magical status bar that appeared only when you need it...when you're hovering over a link.

(Of course we do all miss the scrolling status bar messages from 1996.)

This tiny but awesome browser hack takes back that little bit of screen real estate that's so selfishly gobbled up by the empty grayness of the dormant status bar 24/7.

You will need to turn the regular Safari status bar off. This threw me for a few seconds...

Another annoyance squashed. Awesome.
