I don't know about you, but I've had just about enough of Facebook. I'm all for anything that makes me not want to immediately click elsewhere. Because it is useful. While testing this, I discovered that my little sister is going to get a tattoo.
F.B. Purity (I'm assuming the name was changed to F.B. or "Fluff Busting" for potential or real trademark issues) but we all know what it stands for cleans up a good amount of the junk from your facebook homepage's newsfeed.
It displays a small status at the top of your facebook homepage, letting you know how many apps it blocked, and lets you see them in case you want to whitelist, which you can do in the settings. I've seen it block youtube and networked blogs apps so far.
The settings are exhaustive, with lots of options on which of your friends' updates you want to see as well as being able to whitelist certain apps. And if all else fails, you can create a custom text filter. Like maybe you want to block all mentions of "beiber". Or maybe there's a particular popular meme you want to squelch for a while.
Well done. This one's a keeper.
